“I know I can benefit from this and I hope I can inspire
others to do the same.”
Darren Dudley
Darren Dudley, from Essex, is 32 years old and has always been in some sort of
construction work, except for a few years as a holiday rep in Tenerife and Gran
Canaria!
But in recent years he has found that more and more companies are demanding
qualifications and certificates from their employees, and the most reputable,
who provide long term reliable employment, like Bovis Lend Lease, insist on
health and safety certificates and training before they can even go on site.
It was while out of work for a couple of months that Darren discovered BeOnsite
through his local Jobcentre in Essex. He says it’s an exciting opportunity.
He says: “I feel I have a lot to offer but I also have a lot more to gain. You
can never have enough experience and this way, as I gain qualifications, I hope
to get a decent career, moving up to foreman. I really do want to progress and
this is my chance. Everyone wants certificates these days but so few companies
offer recognised training. I know I can benefit from this and I hope I can
inspire others to do the same.” |
